Our Anaesthesiology team provides expert care before, during, and after surgery. Beyond anaesthesia, they specialize in pain management, resuscitation, and intensive care.

Serving as a key link between patients and surgeons, the department supports a wide range of elective and emergency surgeries. Skilled anaesthetists are available 24/7 to ensure safe and effective care at all times.

Services Offered

  • Assessment, consultation, and preparation of patients for anaesthesia

  • Relief and prevention of pain during and after surgical, obstetric, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures using:

    • Sedation/analgesia

    • General anaesthesia

    • Regional anaesthesia

  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute pain (excluding chronic pain management)

  • Peripheral nerve blocks

  • Central line insertion

  • Monitoring and maintenance of normal physiology during the perioperative period

  • Evaluation of respiratory function and application of respiratory therapy

  • Management of critically ill patients

  • Clinical management and teaching of cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation

  • Prevention, recognition, and management of local anaesthetic overdose, including airway management and resuscitation

  • Recognition and management of side effects and complications from pharmacologic pain therapies

  • Supervision and evaluation of medical and paramedical staff involved in perioperative care

  • Ordering of respiratory and rehabilitation services

  • Performing history and physical examinations
